1) Your only focus is money

If you focus on money only, then you end up losing the new career. You do want to excel at your new position, boost your career, and try out something new. If you just focus on money while the company culture or environment is bad, then expect that you will meet several problems. This is not an easy thing to deal with, so you have to take it into consideration and focus on your advantage. Sure, you need to care about money, but this is not the only thing to focus on. People get ripped off sometimes as they are promised all kinds of bonuses and mentorship, but that doesn’t end up being the case. Build your mentorship tree, where you have a variety of leaders and mentors in your new industry that you can connect to, benefit from and ask for support either in your new corporation or out of it.

5) Not building your new network

It’s very important to establish your own business network in the new industry. Without that, your new career can be in danger, and that’s something you want to avoid. You want to extend your career slowly but surely and confidently while connecting with other people that match your interests. Doing that can be very helpful, it certainly shares new opportunities and the experience itself can be an incredible one. Commit to growth and success, focus on networking, and the potential can be incredible. Extend your network and ask people for help and guidance always. If you don’t ask for it, you won’t get it.
